ETCHINGHILL RESIDENTS' ASSOCIATION
The new planter, donated by Etchinghill Residents' Association, has arrived and has been planted up to make an eye-catching display in the centre of the village. Many thanks to those who helped get it into position. The new bench is in situ at the junction of Teddars Leas and Canterbury Road. This replaces the old one donated by the friends of St Mary's Hospital. The ERA are grateful for the donation from Lyminge Parish Council. Our thanks go to Dick Read at the Nursery for making the bench and to Tim Millett and co. for helping us move it into place. Race Evening - Saturday 9th October If the last Race Evening was anything to go by it will be a really good night! Numbers will be limited so telephone 01303 863495 to reserve tickets. The tickets will include a Fish and Chip supper. Unfortunately vandals have wrecked the battery box for housing the Christmas tree lighting equipment by the golf course. It will mean that money that could have been better spent for the use of the whole village will now have to be spent on repairing this. If anyone knows anything about this incident please contact Gary Harrison, the Community Warden, on 07977 982185. Did you know that if you are a resident of the village you are automatically a member of the Residents' Association? if you have any concerns or suggestions about the village and it's environment then please contact one of the committee members - full details are on the useful information page of this web site. ...................... |
